We Are All Hokies

The tragic events that unfolded at Virginia Tech this week broke my heart. I shed countless tears for 32 people that I never met. I know I will shed more.

I will not rant in this post. All I want to do is send prayers to their families for strength and comfort. May God comfort them now and always.

I am saddened by this horror not only for the rampage that occurred but also for what we lost.

We lost 32 of the very brightest minds. Would one of them have found a cure for cancer, new engineering principles, compose a sonnet or musical score that would have brought the world to its knees?

I hope their lives were filled with love and laughter during their earthly time and they found joy in everything around them.

This week and for a very long time to come, we are all Hokies.
